Highlight Text colours text and backgrounds in every Quarto format.
Version 2.4.0 adds named styles, so '[Overdue]{.alert}' carries colours you define once.
Change the red in one place and every element follows.

A Quarto extension can ship a whole project type, so many sites share one configuration.
Each site writes its title and pages, and inherits the rest.
My example powers the docs of my extensions.

had to use these in Illustrator so I exported them as .ase swatch files with {swatches} (github.com/hrbrmstr/swa...), which was surprisingly easy! #rstats #QuartoPub
Quarto 2 will be 100 times faster than the current edition. You can try an early beta, but as of now it only does HTML output and can't run code yet.

Third, Quarto Wizard, the same catalogue inside VS Code and Positron.
Search, install, and insert the snippet without leaving the editor.
A lot of what people write themselves already exists.
Second, the Quarto Extensions registry, which lists almost 400.
It is built from the GitHub API, so each entry carries the description, the tags, the latest release, and the recent activity.
You can tell what is still maintained.
Need a Quarto feature the documentation does not cover?
Three places to look before you write it yourself.
First, Awesome Quarto, a curated list of documentation, talks, tools, examples, and articles, kept current by the community.
Very cool VSCode extension from @mikelydeamore.bsky.social which looks excellent for collaboratively editing Quarto documents!
Quarto Wizard 3.3 compiles the Typst block under your cursor and shows the image beside the editor.
Edit Typst blocks in a Quarto document without a full render to see it.
