Lucky shot today. I usually don't take my mountain shot until around the middle of the crossing. I took the first one just outside the harbor because I wanted to catch the motorboat. The second one is about where I'd usually take it. šŸ˜‚
#MountTahoma #MountRainier #Commute #PNW #WSF #PugetSound #Fog

Mount Tahoma rises above a thick bank of gray fog across Puget Sound. Its snow-covered summit and upper slopes are visible, while its lower slopes fade into the mist. In the foreground, a small motorboat speeds across the water, leaving a white wake. A navigation structure stands on pilings at the left.Dense gray fog blankets Puget Sound, completely obscuring the distant shoreline and mountains. The textured blue-gray water in the foreground gradually disappears into the mist, leaving no visible horizon.

The first band I was in - Three Good Measures, so called because that's how many we figured we could get out in a row - did this song a _lot_. We'd pair it with the punk (and more than vaguely ska somehow) version of Bumblebee Tuna. xD

The Mountain is a ghost today.
#MountTahoma #MountRainier #Volcano #Commute #PNW #WSF #Clouds #PugetSound

A faint, ghostlike view of snow-covered Tahoma barely visible through blue-gray atmospheric haze. Dark blue water fills the foreground, with a distant tree-lined shore stretching across the horizon below the nearly invisible mountain.

The fog in the trees and over the Puget Sound is gorgeous this morning.

A panoramic shot with fog banks settled along between successive rows of trees, with just the tops of the trees poking above the clouds, stretching off to large cloud banks in the distance under a light blue and slightly pink morning sky.

The Mountain is veiled today. Possible lenticular formation?
#MountTahoma #MountRainier #Volcano #Commute #PNW #WSF #Clouds #PugetSound

A distant view of snow-covered Mount Tahoma rising above a dark, forested shoreline and gray-blue water. Layers of pale clouds veil the mountain’s lower slopes, while a smooth, flattened cap of cloud sits over the summit, suggesting developing lenticular formation. A small white sailboat crosses the water in the foreground beneath an overcast, softly layered sky.

The Mountain is floating today. šŸ˜„
#MountTahoma #MountRainier #Volcano #Commute #PNW #WSF #PugetSound

Snow-covered Mount Tahoma rises above a low band of pale clouds and haze, making the mountain appear to float in the blue sky. Dark, rippled water fills the foreground, with a forested shoreline stretching across the distance below the mountain. Small white clouds drift around the summit and upper slopes, and a ferry is faintly visible at far right.
