Salacca magnifica
Greater Salak

Endemic to Borneo, this stunning clustering palm features glossy green leaves with silvery-green undersides—and seriously spiny petioles!

Has anyone grown this palm, spines and all? 🌴

Copernicia alba
Caranday Palm

🌱 Now ➡️ 🌴 Someday.

It may be hard to imagine, but this little palm has quite a future ahead of it.

Alba is Latin for “white,” referring to the whitish stem seen in younger plants.

One palm. Two very different stages of life. 🌴
