Heinz pushes a friendly amendment, applying to future data center proposals - but not ones currently going through the development process.

There are only two, per on the record statements from county staff. #ProjectBlue and #ProjectGravel. Both are actively in the development process.

Nope. Two more speakers. Sorry about that.

The young woman says she appreciates the 120 day moratorium, says she wishes the #PimaSupes considered this a long time ago - hinting at the #ProjectBlue fight.

She supports a full ban on data centers.

Always after the fact with these folks. They opened the door to draining Tucson Active Management Area's water from the only aquifer we have, for data centers. Show up tonight at Tucson's City Council Meeting! This was yesterday👇Wells will sit below a PFAS laden #projectblue What could go wrong?😵‍💫😡

@starlight333.bsky.socialSep 22, 2026, 1:12 PM

Sad to see aquifer water near Tucson now flowing for #projectblue 😢 Officials in Pima County, @pimacounty-d1.bsky.social along with the state of Arizona & ADWR are now serving decades of hard-earned, stored water to data rather than to people. People will pack Pima County's mtg. tonight to protest 🥊

Drill rig at the Project Blue Data Center site that has been running for months, to fast track a #projectblue data center in Pima County AZ. Pumping begins from well #1 of 2 that will pump 31+ million gallons per year, right under #projectblue deadly PFAS laden data centers that have been approved in Pima County, endangering the regions' only water source.Pump company that installs the pumps to run the wells at the #projectblue data center site near Tucson.

Weird. Why was he pushing so secretly for data centers all these years? Everyone knows they promise a tsunami of PFAS. Why is ADWR & the Tucson AMA allowing wells drilled ON SITE for #projectblue with a direct conduit to our aquifer & no plans for safeguarding wellheads from 'air cooled' PFAS waste?

@starlight333.bsky.socialSep 9, 2026, 5:29 PM

Yeah. Just when you think the corruption from those running Pima County has hit bottom, they dig a hole.

STOP 🚫 #projectblue
ENACT #datacenterban
REJECT T.E.P. agreements at ratepayers, health & environmental expense ‼️
PROTECT #citizensrights

I can confirm that I've talked to multiple former county staffers who felt they were not able to speak up about their concerns about #ProjectBlue before the county voted to sell the land to Beale Infrastructure.

@joeferguson.bsky.socialSep 9, 2026, 1:59 AM

I think there is a new environment where concern about data centers has a lot of people concerned and hearing zebras rather than horses.

That said, new substation = data center is a reality for some substations. #ProjectBlue need one IIRC.

@starlight333.bsky.socialSep 8, 2026, 9:37 PM

Who will hold ADWR accountable? They are also allowing non-compliant groundwater pumping in the Tucson AMA for the construction of the #projectblue data centers. Everyone knows about it, it's been going on for months, and no one will do the bare minimum to stop it, or fine the perpetrators $10K/day
