Honest question: are you team hollow or team solid print? I hollow anything bigger than a standard infantry mini to save resin, but the extra drain holes and cleanup add real time. Where do you draw the line?

A magnetized weapon arm sounds fiddly until you actually do one. Right magnet size for the joint, hand drill only (resin cracks under a power bit), and a polarity trick so you stop gluing magnets in backwards.

Tip: if you hollow a mini, put in two drain holes, not one. A single hole traps a pocket of uncured resin that seeps out through the paint weeks later. Second hole on the opposite side and it actually drains while it washes.

Hot take: 12K resolution is not what is holding your minis back. At 28mm the pixel stopped being the limit a couple of panel generations ago. Supports, orientation and exposure are doing all the work. Buy the cheaper screen, spend it on resin.

Chased a print failure for a week with exposure times and it was lift speed the whole time. Slowed the pull off the FEP and the same file came off clean first try. I had been adjusting the setting I understood instead of the one that mattered.

Tip: clip supports off while the mini is still damp from the wash, before the final cure. Fully cured resin is brittle and takes little divots with it. Soft resin lets the contact points shear clean, and you sand half as much afterward.

Resin does not bend, it snaps clean, usually at the thinnest part of a weapon you picked the model up by. Gluing, when a joint needs a pin, filling the seam, and blending the repair back into the paint.
