beauty is in the eye of the beholder
stop worrying about who beholds you
make yourself prettier for you

Smear of blood down my side
Ache to more than my pride
Shaking and quaking of my limbs
Hope for my future dims
Delusion that I was ever that spry
Dream that I was prettier—a linear lie
Life I set out to conquer
Reality that I’m just a honker
