@unionjane.bsky.socialc.org/Tq4Rg5Vxpd Weston Big Wood has stood here since the Ice Age. It is now at risk from decisions that took just a few months. If grey belt can be misused here, it can be misused anywhere. Sign the petition & save Weston Big Wood from development. #Portishead #Somerset #WestonBigWood
@jommekeleest.bsky.socialMy favorite Portishead album by far. Only You is the highlight, particularly the organ melody that kicks in around 3:42. Pure bliss. #vinyl #nowspinning #portishead #skymusic #homeoffice
@georgiosmasman.bsky.social#Portishead had created a gothic, deadly & trippy atmosphere & gotten darker, deeper, and more disturbing.
September 29th, 1997 Portishead released their second studio album. It reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 21 on the Billboard 200.

Released on this day in 1997 The Verve put out "Urban Hymns" & Portishead released their eponymous second album. Then a year later in 1998 Mercury Rev released "Deserter's Song".
@sadikal-hassanmp.bsky.socialIt was good to be back on the streets of #Portishead knocking on doors as part of my street surgeries. Had lots of great conversations with residents and we spoke about local issues I could help with. Great to soak a bit sun which always makes the marina even more beautiful.
@cernejpudinkcz.czesky.onlineTři studiová alba za víc než 30 let svádějí k jednoduché zkratce: Dummy, dlouhé ticho, Third. Jenže #Portishead mezitím měnili způsob práce, role i zdroje zvuku.
Od bristolských začátků přes druhé album a Roseland až k „The Rip“ a dnešnímu stavu kapely.
