We had perfect weather yesterday, so I took a walk with my small camera to check out the foliage, and was happy to see many colorful leaves! This shot has a bonus #MuteSwan couple out in the marsh (Norfolk, Mass. - 10/3/26) 🤩🍁

The marsh at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Norfolk, Massachusetts was filled with tussocks covered with reddish-brown grasses and plants amid the blue water, and a Mute Swan couple with white feathers swimming on the other side. There were tall evergreen trees and other species of trees with brown trunks and red, yellow, and orange leaves around the edge of the marsh.

I took a walk over to the #GristMillPond and found that most of the foliage hadn't changed color yet, but I loved this tranquil scene looking out across the pond (Sudbury, MA - 9/24/26) 🤩💙🍃

The Grist Mill Pond in Sudbury, Massachusetts is part of the Wayside Inn Historic District and is located close to the Grist Mill. The pond had blue water with reflections of trees with green leaves along the shoreline, yellow-green pollen and algae, tall green reeds in the foreground, and a clear blue sky above.

Female duck and 3 males at a pond in the Surrey Hills. Two weeks ago when the trees were still very green.

A local beauty spot. I have to get here by car and drive down a long, narrow lane which is full of very deep potholes. At the end of the lane is a ford and on either side more potholes. As I drive through it I hope that there are no deep potholes under the water.
If I make it through the ford without damaging my car,which I always have, then I have to park in a very uneven car park with large sharp stones!
It’s always worth it and in a couple of weeks the beech trees will look beautiful in their autumn colours.
It is also a wonderful place for water birds.
