"Be it the famous Castro Theater, or your front yard hydrangea, gold and blue is an attention getter. And getting a last, late entry in for P&G, because... why not." -mick

The image showcases the intricate Spanish Baroque decorative tilework above the entrance of the iconic Castro Theatre in San Francisco.
Designed by renowned architect Timothy L. Pflueger and built in 1922, this historic movie palace is famous for its striking Churrigueresque/Spanish Baroque facade and interior. The colorful tile murals and plasterwork surrounding the entrance and ticket booth area are prominent examples of this elaborate architectural style.
The image shows a close-up of vibrant blue and pale yellow-green mophead hydrangea flowers (Hydrangea macrophylla) with rounded petal clusters.
The blue coloration of these blooms typically appears in acidic soils, while the lighter undertones often show where the flowers are newly opening or shaded.
Hydrangeas thrive best in moist, well-draining soil with morning sun and afternoon shade

Black and white bow-on image of the barque "Europa", moored at Rowes Wharf in Boston Harbor during a Tall Ships event in 2009. She started life as a lightship built in Hamburg, Germany in 1911, and was later restored/refurbished as an ocean-going vessel in 1994. She's been sailing the globe ever since out of her home port of The Hague, Netherlands. She's seen here with her white sails partially furled, against the dark background of an arch in the building behind her. Numerous onlookers can be seen on the wharf off to the right and behind her.

In his Figure in the Urban Landscape series, Adams depicts the everyday scenes of a city. This portrait is made from painted surfaces, collage, fabric, and toy cars, combining elements drawn from modernist abstraction, African sculpture, and the artist's own life. Bodies are flattened, and the city streets are reduced to bold blocks of gridded colors. Miniature model cars seem to drive across the painted roads, drawing attention to the city as both real and imagined. The grid suggests movement, but also control, highlighting how individuals navigate city blocks and neighborhoods. As the figure moves through this scene, environment shifts and adjusts around them. By focusing on everyday movement, Adams opens space to imagine different stories shaped by self-determination.Fall trees colored green, yellow, red, brownish orange. A front porch is made of stones and has a mint green railing around the edge for safety. The garden was owned by Yves St. Laurent, but is now a tourist attraction and museum.

Another portrait from Knole House, Sevenoaks, Kent, and a flower in the house's brilliant gardens. King George IV in scarlet Prince regent's jacket and Amaranth flowers aka Love-lies-bleeding.

A gull length portrait, hanging at Knole House, of King George IV (1762-1830) as Prince Regent (oil paint), by Thomas Lawrence. The future King poses, leaning on his sword in his right hand, against a grey cloudy sky. In his other hand, he holds a huge black hat with white feathers. He wears unfeasibly tight white pants on top of black riding boots. To top this he has a Scarlet jacket above a golden belt. This, in turn, is adorned with more gold - braid and medals. Above his neck, which is swathed in a high, black scarf, his head with wavy black hair seems particularly small and strangely out of proportion.
