L'île de Bora-Bora en Polynésie, prise depuis l'avion qui fait la liaison entre les îles de l'archipel de la Société, dont on distingue une hélice en haut de la photo. Le volcan central apparaît sur la droite, et le lagon est clairement visible par sa couleur bleu azur, délimité par la barrière de corail affleurante en partie couverte de végétation. Autour, la pleine mer apparaît plus sombre.
