Most people learn a language for years and still can’t hold a conversation. The problem isn’t talent. It’s input. You need hours of comprehensible material, not grammar drills. What’s your current learning routine? #Polyglot #Languages

Most people learn a language wrong. They memorize vocab lists. But fluency comes from patterns, not words. Comprehensible input beats grammar drills every time. What's the one method that finally worked for you? #Polyglot #Languages #Learning

Most people don't have a learning problem. They have a retention problem. Re-reading feels productive but barely moves the needle. Spaced recall is what actually builds fluency. What's one skill you're relearning the hard way? #Learning #Polyglot

Beware, in my classification I talk as if Turkish was in the Uralic branch. But I do not say this!

I just say that, following #polyglot piece of advise, Finnish & Turkish work strikingly the same way. Sufficiently so, that at my beginner level I can hold them as the very same kind of language

Want to reach C2?

Spend less time doing language exercises and more time USING the language.

Read books. Listen to podcasts. Speak badly. Make mistakes. Repeat.

Communication beats perfection every time.

AI translation is a study aid, not a shortcut. Learning the language itself is the only way to think in it.

LOST IN TRANSLATION. AI translation helps you survive abroad, but only real learning lets you think, dream, and belong in another language. Agree or fight me 👇

Most people don't have a learning problem. They have a retrieval problem. Re-reading notes feels productive but builds almost no memory. Testing yourself does. What's one skill you're learning right now? #Learning #Polyglot

Most people learn languages backwards. They study grammar rules for months, then wonder why they freeze up in real conversations. Comprehensible input first. Rules later. Your brain needs exposure, not explanations. What's your current learning approach? #Polyglot #Languages #Learning

Learning a language is not a luxury hobby for the gifted. It's a practical skill that makes you sharper, braver, and able to actually talk to people. Stop waiting for fluency.

LOST IN TRANSLATION. Waiting to be fluent before you speak is the same as not learning at all. Agree or fight me 👇

While tongue twisters are amusing in one's native language, they can be counterproductive for learners. The goal should be to master phrases that are both useful and pronounceable, rather than intentionally difficult. #LanguageLearning #Polyglot #LearningTips #Education #Communication
