'I've Nothing to Offer the White Horse in the Dream' for #PoemsAbout #Bites @thebrokenspine.co.uk
For this week's #PoemsAbout #Bites I'm thinking about how much we can do with our teeth without ever biting anyone.

Sweet Like
Honey
Apple slices
Red ripe and sweet I bite
Your lower lip Drift into bliss
Anew
Your tongue
Exploring my mouth
I never liked kissing
Until I tasted your sweetness
Motek
G-d's Gift
Every little bite
He gave, filled me with delight-
Left a tiny bruise
Rip me to ribbons
Cut me
Into bite sized pieces
Savor me slowly
As I suffer
Wanting
Fillet the frivolous
From me
Edge the blade
Along my spine
Excise the unnecessary
Expose me to love's bite
Love me raw
Probe me, deeply
Look at me
Reveal what's within
Cut me
So I'll know I bleed
Lusty B
When I was kneeling
I should have been praying. NOT
Waiting for the bite
Too Boo Koo
Scratch hiss twist then kiss
Nails down back bite lower lip
Love you little time
Not everything that bites has teeth. Unfortunately.
Oh this is great @merrildsmith.bsky.social. This #poemsabout #bites slithers the way a snake would. Also was fun to see this rewrite with art. Blessings, Karen

His Words
I’ll tell you a story,
one you won’t believe,
once
a cookie-
it took up an entire jar,
so full of chocolate chunks,
brimming with joy;
bite by bite
he chewed the cookie,
savoring
his prey,
he left only crumbs,
claimed he ate none
I was a biter
and would bite
my baby brother
until one day
my mom
bit me back
lesson learned

As a child, I recall that
We had a book called
The Biter Bit
I experimented - in my childlike way -
With nouns and verbs and
Adjectives - try it - to get my milk teeth round it -
Until - in the end -
My brother never knew what bit him.
a piece of #prose about #bite that is what came today #poemsabout @brokenspine.bsky.social

I tried. As much as a woman with a stomach ache on a Friday afternoon can. I will be reading the rest later.
