German non profit #BalkonSolar e.V. and more than 500 citizens transformed 600 old solar panels from a tooth brush factory in the #Blackforest into 300 new #PluginPV systems.

Weltrekord 2026 läuft.

#Freiburg #Solar #Steckersolar #PIPV #PluginPV

In our experience the typical German #pluginsolar consumer owns a house or apartment. He is 50+, technically interested, rather male, middle class and lives in a suburb or rural location.

#pluginpv is usually not bought by renters (especially not in high rise buildings), poor people or students.

We estimate that about 40% of #pluginsolar devices in Germany are mounted at a balcony and around 40% are mounted on a flat roof or garden.
