Windy session today! Not gonna complain much, better than getting lashed with rain. Harder to maintain the paces, though. Still, saw a few brave souls going at it and enjoying the Saturday outside, sunny spells and whatnot.

Woo, happy there was no rain! It was unusually warm yet windy today, not too many people running in the morning.
The most important thing here is that I keep showing up, especially before work. Need to get back to that, makes the day more manageable afterwards.
Wahey, first session in new shoes and it went down like a charm. Paces were easy to hit, I could even slow it down a tiny bit. Don't mind.
A friend helped me (by an accident) to give them a better nickname than just "Orange" - now they're "Saros" 😁 Will remember that game.
6 days in a row! But now it's time for a day of respite - I'll use it for sure.
Today's session went really well, the pace didn't feel like a struggle, had adequate recovery and easy bits.
Maybe NSM is gonna help me break 20 mins in a 5K at some point? I'd like that.
New month, new paces, improved plan - the NSM saga continues!
After Saturday's checkup and delivering a PB, I'm able to increase the paces a bit and add 30 minutes to overall volume, making it 6 hours a week now.
A faster session is set up for tomorrow, can't wait!
Legs felt this one today, but it still got done. Came out late to go out there and explore, mainly due to the F1 race in the morning.
Thank you for your support, sorry for posting so late! Got really tight schedule today due to a friend's birthday, just got home, sat down and had some Diet Coke.
It was a great race, felt strong, was able to rally a bit in the end. In the top half plus a new PB - chuffed!
Classic easy run to keep the legs moving.
Tomorrow's gonna be a different beast...
Hit the peak of my training readiness today, apparently. Wouldn't mind if that happened on Saturday, but I'll take it.
Four invervals around HM pace, felt in control and very consistent. It was a lovely sunny pre-lunch run, now happy to dig into some food 😎
Another sub-threshold session done, was feeling quite good overall. The minute of walking in between the faster intervals is definitely helping to recover the HR and have another go so quickly.
Grey morning! Bit of a spray in the air, but wouldn't call it a drizzle.
Low, low, low your boat, gently down the HR...
Another easy session in the bank, was sunny and enjoyable. Will be missing this kind of weather soon, but hope it stays like that for as long as possible.
A long run with a slightly slower pace and a first proper Base one in a while! Miffed a bit about missing one #squadrats but got a plan for next Sunday, at least.
Now just to keep on trucking and have a proper 5K on Saturday - that's gonna change the future paces a bit!
Another subT training, this time around HM pace. Felt good to avoid the rain, just enjoyed the wet asphalt and a gentle breeze. Now a day's rest is in order.
Will need to figure out my next long run location... Where are my future #squadrats? 🤔
Easy peasy morning run. Fun fact - lowest max HR in a year! Getting more used to this pacing, it's quite pleasant.
First subT NSM training done! It was a bit weird to get into the proper pace required, normally I was used to going a tad faster, but overall I nailed it.
Now to refuel with supper and to enjoy the rest of the day 😎
Yesterday was a very lazy day. Went to sleep with a plan to shake things up a bit.
And so - the Norwegian Singles Method journey starts today. Set my benchmark at 22:30 (conservative 5K), 6 runs a week, 5:30h overall.
Easy pace is now truly easy. Biggest difference.
It's not the greatest weekend for me, mentally, so I reckoned a long run would change things around.
It was a good long run. Varied spots to run through, although I stayed within Halewood pretty much.
Restarting consistent running from tomorrow.
First threshold in a while! Garmin knew that I was slacking a bit on holiday, so it served me a 28-minute effort - it was fine, stable, but also a bit above the usual way it feels. Makes sense, it's been a while.
Hoping to spend 2-3 weeks on getting the form back!
Another day, another base run. The muscles are definitely feeling the restart of consistent training, but the heart was in the right place. Had to fight with the laziness a bit throughout, thinking about cutting it a bit shorter.
Didn't in the end, so I'm chuffed.
We're back, baby! Back to the usual grind, that is. The route was a bit unusual, but I was hoping to meet some online friends in real life. Turns out... the meet up was a bit later than stated on the group page. What gives?
Anyway, enjoyed the breeze and the run. Missed it!
