A stream passing thru Plumas Nat'l Forest in CA. Spent probably 2 or 3 hours at this stop, just exploring with no one around, no expectations, no responsibilities. Heaven.

An old homestead in the Verdugo mountains up above Burbank/Glendale. Doesn't look burned out, but definitely picked apart. The trail to/from has been cleared out a bunch over the years, when I first saw the chimney top from the main fire road it was a real trek thru the brush to get there.

It me. The Vasquez rocks are not a lonely spot by any stretch, but if you're lucky you can get there during a lull between Gorn fans.

A 2-lane running down to Lake Cachuma reservoir in CA. Shot in BW at ground level, with the road angling off in the distance and power lines running overhead.

Another 2-lane, this one running southbound from Eagle Lake in northern CA. Framed by a wild meadow sporting fall colors and a few lonely trees.

A mountain road running thru a steel-frame bridge deep in Plumas Nat'l Forest, California. Pretty sure it's crossing the Feather River but it's been a while..

A long exposure of the Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica pier. (They run the lights until late in the night.) Here with the encircling coaster tracks it calls to mind a sci-fi reactor of some kind, glowing with barely-contained energy.

I was looking for any substance behind the message, but I guess you've just got to take it on faith...

A grainy black & white perspective shot from inside the Van Nuys Flyaway terminal (a parking/bus service for LAX) with the shadows in the distance overpowering the lightstrips overhead.

Some scuzzy greenish flourescents from the usher closet at the AMC Burbank 6 theater.

Rows of red and blue neon frame an elaborate entryway to what I think is a Dept of Transportation(?) building in downtown Los Angeles. Memorable more for the Maroon V video that was shot here way back when.
