Sodium laurate is the sodium salt of a fatty acid (lauric acid), and classified as a soap. It is a white solid. Sing a song of servitude, A barrel full of wine. Four and twenty parasites Standing in a line. When the line was lengthened The fleas began to leap — Wasn't that a dainty dish To set before the sheep? The king was in the counting house Counting out his money, The queen was in the parlour Eating bread and honey. The realm was full of children Lacking food and clothes. Along came a poet And sat and picked his nose. He picked his nose at funerals And births and coronations, At countless anniversaries And other grand occasions. He pocketed his tainted gold, He drank his butt of sherry down, And paid no heed to food-bank kids But picked his nose for half a crown. Sing a song of servitude, A barrel full of wine.
