Hi, friends!☀️
Τhe Kamares Cave is slighly offset from a saddle in the Psiloriti Range, aligned with #Phaistos in #Crete.
Archaeologists have excavated pieces of Kamares ware (Καμαραϊκά) as far as Byblos, Ungarit, Cyprus & ancient Egypt (eg. Tell el-Daba & Kahun).

A 3,800-year-old krater (κρατήρας). Kamares ware (Καμαραϊκά αγγεία) from Phaistos (Φαιστός), Crete, Greece.

Fragments of floral Kamares ware have also been excavated from 13th-Dynasty palace garden contexts and tombs along the Nile Delta. The stylised flowers have been identified as lilies.
