Grouped bar chart of average weight change at week 28 in two phase 2 trials of petrelintide, Zealand Pharma's weekly amylin injection partnered with Roche. Left group, ZUPREME-1 in people without diabetes: placebo -1.7 per cent, the dose that lost least -7.9 per cent, the dose that lost most -9.8 per cent. Right group, ZUPREME-2 in people with type 2 diabetes, topline of 7 October 2026: placebo -2.0 per cent, the dose that lost least -7.4 per cent, the dose that lost most -9.2 per cent. The two groups look almost the same: weight loss in people with diabetes is about half a point smaller. ZUPREME-2 has not named its three doses. Figures are for patients who stayed on treatment.

Bar chart of average weight change at week 42 in the phase 2 ZUPREME-1 trial of petrelintide, Zealand Pharma's weekly amylin injection partnered with Roche, published in The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology on 29 September 2026. One grey bar for placebo and five blue bars for the weekly doses: placebo -1.7 per cent, 1 mg -8.7 per cent, 2.5 mg -9.2 per cent, 5 mg -10.7 per cent, 7 mg -10.5 per cent, 9 mg -10.2 per cent. The five dose bars are almost the same height: the lowest dose loses 8.7 per cent and the highest 10.2 per cent, and the deepest arm is 5 mg, not the top dose. Figures are for patients who stayed on treatment.
