I’m struggling to get the actual sparkle of these #beads, but it just isn’t coming out. They are dazzling.

Since it’s #Dolly Parton Day I thought it appropriate to bling up a #parasol as outrageously as I could. I hope this one is enough for her and Bob Mackie when I’m through.

A finished crochet parasol cover lies on my black desktop. The visible part of this parasol is the center toward the top right of the image. The yarn is a bright pink which fades slowly into orange and yellow at the left of the image.

A box of various sizes of very holographic beads is on top of it.

This section of parasol has peacock feather eyes crocheted into it, but the centers are holes, so I am in the process of filling the center holes with the beads.

The crochet parasol is a little crumpled up, but the bottom edge has the orange rows I’ve already attached beads to which fades into pink at the top of the image & center of the parasol.

It’s been 4 months & I’ve returned to this #parasol☂️

This pattern is Pineapples & Leaves & I enjoy the 3D look without front post/back post #crochet 🧶.

This will be a 30” parasol in 4-5 days. It’s been raining here, so blocking will take longer to dry. It will use 800m of 100% cotton yarn.

A work-in-progress crochet parasol cover lies on my black desktop. The bottom edge of the cover is folded back on the center of the cover.

My 2.75mm wood crochet hook is engaged in the working yarn in the right side of the image.

This yarn is Rena’s Threads 100% cotton is a ROYGBIV rainbow gradient beginning with red at the center and fading slowly out to blue at the edge. There is also a continuous white thread running throughout the colors which brightens up the work a lot.

This image is a close up on my current work-in-progress crochet parasol cover. The cover is folded back over itself to show the side intended to be viewed.

My wooden crochet hook is engaged in the working yarn and slightly visible at the middle right side of this image.

Finished 6 rows last night, I had begun the blue section, but I noticed a mistake in two peacock feather motifs, so now I have a giant pile of yarn and a parasol cover that looks like yesterday’s.

Worth it. Can’t feel good about selling a substandard #parasol.

I spotted these little white mushrooms growing in the flower bed that I had covered with mulch. Not sure what variety, but they looked like tiny parasols to me!
