Thank you to everyone who visited us over the weekend during #OxfordOpenDoors

It was a pleasure to welcome so many visitors and to offer a glimpse behind-the-scenes of life in college!

If you’d like to come back, St John’s is open for free every afternoon from 2pm.

123 visitors over two days of #OxfordOpenDoors this year: 122 humans and 1 canine.

I loved how the first Sunday visitors arrived soaking wet from the rainfall, during the Eucharistic Prayer, at epiclesis, mixing with the crowd of The Faithful. It was beautiful.

A moment. During #OxfordOpenDoors yesterday, when granddaughter of 3919 Private G T Clapton turned up at the #Church, because she had read that he was named on our memorial. “He is,” I say, “please come with me, I will show you.”
