Erid Fauna Profile #1: Shell-breaker leech Named for their ability to break through the protective shells of most eridani wildlife, these hardy pests are no problem on their own, hence their tendency to hunt in packs. Their sturdy bodies are corded with muscle, enabling them to launch themselves at unsuspecting prey. If they manage to hit their mark, the five sharp prongs at the edges of their mouth sink in, injecting a paralyzing agent into the target. Once prey has been sufficiently immobilized, the rows of teeth get to work on carving chunks out of a hard shell, until they can breach the closed system within. They rarely hunt eridians, but they also won't pass up an opportunity if they manage to get one alone.

Last but not least, the final of the three eridian councilors in #OurSavingGrace. Myriad-of-Plumewither might be a tiny little thing, but they don't tolerate disrespect from anyone. Confident and sassy, they know how to get everything they want and more.
