Same. I pay house taxes and over $35k a year in property taxes for our leased office space. I want (a) better use of my tax $ to get better (less waste etc) and (b) pay the taxes it takes to be a capital G7 city, to be #OurBestOttawa

This is great and I love it.

What I’d love more is if we’d focus on making great public art without needing it to be part of a P3 project. There’s no reason we can’t commission great public art (and functional pieces like these benches) as a regular matter of course.

Ive written extensively on how to harness the talent and will to make #OurBestOttawa but it largely falls on deaf ears; we lack leadership willing to make the effort. A minority of council sees this but is outvoted on promises of low taxes and #BreadAndCircuses that make our city worse. 2/
