The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has released more information on the homicide of a juvenile victim in Monroe, La. During the investigation, Joshua Swan allegedly admitted to fatally shooting the juvenile victim.

On October 8, 2026, 30-year-old Heath A. Foster of West Monroe, La., was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, followed by five years of supervised release.
