AND another promise! It's now a long list (with a little more than 2 weeks to go) and surely his 2.5% tax cap has been abandoned if he intends to follow through on the others! Phew! Don't think he is finished yet, either. #ottcity

How we get around is crucial to a city; years of austerity budgets by Watson, perpetuated by Sutcliffe, combined with P3 boondoggles for LRT and inept leadership have crushed the dream of transit in #OttCity; and everyone is paying the price: drivers, transit users, economy, residents/tax payers.

What does this do to encourage business if we’re effectively barred from working with the city bc of unfair, immoral, contracts? Architecture is 17% of the ON GDP yet #OttCity DGAF about local businesses. bit.ly/4ekvVEY

Except, given your 2.5% tax hike cap, your plan perpetuates the low tax strategy that led to the $10.8 billion infrastructure funding deficit we face today regarding the City's aging facilities. This is not responsible. #ottcity

@alexcullen.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 7:46 PM

Aging infrastructure, anyone? Anyone?

Seems only Leiper is answering this bell. #October26 #ottcity

And the promises just keep on coming! Think Sutcliffe's 2.5% tax cap promise (never was realistic) is lost in the campaign dust ... #ottcity

He lost me when he said "build on the Greenbelt". Doesn't he know that we need every hectare of greenspace in Ottawa, particularly if we take in 600,000 more people in Ottawa as forecasted? Also, Lawson's plan depends on provincial funding. #ottcity
