Me: "Do you know we're prohibited from using ChatGPT?"
Them: "I didn't."
Me: "Hover over the broken link everyone's complaining about for me please. What's it say?"
Them: "...'Source=ChatGPT' 😓"
Me: "There are other markers too btw but this is the one everyone ELSE needs retraining for 😑" #OpMode

So there’s a Jeremy Coatney (no relation) who works in San Diego through a temp company

The reason I know this is every so often said temp company sends me his pay and I have to politely tell them they sent it to the wrong person again #OpMode

"We noticed you watched a video about playing card games. Would you like to watch videos about how to be an efficient scalper or maximizing returns on TCG speculation??? 😃"

No YouTube. No I would not 😑 #OpMode

I have hundreds of voice mails from bots trying to convince me to pick up / give them my personal info 😓 #OpMode

Then less than two decades after these masters died barely changed versions of their work gets barfed out to act as covers and thumbnails for plagiarized music, books, and other low-effort slop that's nearly inescapable for the folks they left behind #OpMode #NoAI #Death

I feel especially sad for the people who used to know some of the deceased artists that GenAI likes to copy from. Artists who (despite chronic, debilitating, and eventually lethal illness / conditions) honed their craft to the point you could instantly tell whose work it was #OpMode #NoAI #Death

We use Slack at work. Which is fine except for the fact it will send me fake notifications every so often if it thinks I’m not using it enough 😅 #OpMode

I love my coworkers but if I get one more request to enable a non-existent feature because google’s crappy AI summary hallucinated it into existence I will scream #OpMode

Sometimes you click the blurred out thing on Throne and its something completely innocuous like hair ties, and sometimes it's an oddly named strap-on or industrial barrel of lubricant lol #OpMode

You have to understand even if I like you as an individual or we’re friends / family I won’t promote or work with you if I know you’re using GenAI

Which characterizes a few folks I know, some of whom have asked me to lately. Really I’d have thought my position was clear by now 😅 #OpMode

You should not compromise on the rights or well being of vulnerable populations, and if they’re also small groups that doesn’t make it better it just makes you a dismissive shithead #OpMode #Politics

I really like that posts will automatically produce a (x / y) notation now #OpMode

Keep in mind that while LLMs cannot think they don’t need to in order to figure out how mess with your brain. One of their chief features is figuring out how to make you respond positively to using them even if they can’t do the requested job correctly #OpMode

Ground News is one of those things I knew was conceptually flawed from the get go, and unlikely to have been made in good faith anyhow. The solution to being in an echo chamber isn't going to be visiting a more diverse range of news sites regardless of what flavor of echo chamber you're in #OpMode

I very rarely comment on YouTube videos but sometimes this kind of stuff just leaks out lol #OpMode

YouTube Comment that reads: There are a lot of things LLMs are extremely good at, it's just none of what folks are trying to sell them for. They could have even gotten them to do a lot of what they're misusing them for better if they'd taken the time and care upfront. That's what annoys me the most on a professional level: I'm sitting here watching folks who have a perfectly good spice grinder strap nutmeg to wrecking balls and smash them together over a teaspoon instead of using the precision built tool they already had, and then they tell me not only will everyone be doing it this way soon but the process hardly gets any rock or metal shards, or misc. industrial dust into their baked goods at all
