The conceit of #OperationAvalanche (which I was initially resistant to, thus making it an appealing film to watch) is that NASA can't actually land on the moon in '69, so when this woman showing them around says, "They're here 🎥ing a doc about Apollo 11," he panics, "Ohhhh... okay!"

I know for a fact the Mississippi one is era-appropriate, and I have to believe the other two are, as well.

It's blink-and-you'll-miss-it (literally; getting the screenshots was tough), but this sort of detail adds so much to a #film.

And then the aspect-ratio changes! That's awesome. This is definitely a fun movie, and it's doing interesting things. I'm on board for whatever they're doing here, I think.

The aspect ratio is interesting, & it makes sense for the sort of cameras they'd be using (since this is faux-found-footage).

That's a thoughtful touch, & one I like immediately. The footage also has an authentically-60s feel to it (the grain & so forth). I dig it!
