A moment of calm for today….

… before canvassing, working, going to our parent-teacher meeting, calling in to the ProArts Alliance forum, attending the U Vic Students’ Society candidates’ debate, and talking to voters for a couple of hours at the final CAOB candidates fair. #OakBayBC

Former councillor Eric Zhelka is going to bat for Kevin Murdoch on Oak Bay local. #yyjpoli #oakbaybc

We had a wonderful all-candidates forum tonight, organized by the Community Association of Oak Bay.

Here’s my parting sentiment: I think I was a bit more eloquent, but this is an excellent summary. #yyjpoli #OakBayBC

Planning to head down to ReconciliACTION Oak Bay's all candidate forum tonight. Not much candidate activity so far on Bluesky (but then 1 council candidate doesn't even have a website 🤷🏼‍♀️) - but we'll see if we can share out some key pieces for folks who couldn't make it! #yyjpoli #OakBayBC #bcpoli

Thanks to all who stopped by the community feedback event at the Fire Hall today. This plan has been in the works since 2009-2011...we really need to get moving on these routes! (pun intended).

One more question. What’s the real waste of money:

- A park renovation that our community needs?

OR

- Spending 8 years and who knows how much money on planning, consultation, re-planning, more consultation, and the design of a wonderful facility … only to say, “Never mind”?
