Tell me again how #jokic doesn't care about basketball.

You don't reach this level of mastery unless you do care a whole effing lot. Denver is very lucky to have him. Imagine if the #nuggets had to defend against him. 😱

The #Nuggets ran this multiple times vs. Utah on Sunday. It is one of my favorite actions that they run to get a quick bucket. And we’ll see it a lot during the regular season.

Ryan Nembhard knocks down the transition triple

DaRon Holmes with another big dunk on the break...

#Nuggets

DaRon Holmes leaks out and slams down the transition dunk off the Ace Bailey missed 3-pointer

Hopefully he gets to play this year...

#Nuggets fans are rightfully concerned about Spencer Jones' preseason hamstring injury...

...so it's good to see him here laughing and in good spirits, hopefully a harbinger of better health returning quickly.

Ryan Nembhard pulls up and drains the jumper from the top of the key

Another look at DeMar DeRozan's driving, spinning layup

Trevon Brazile blocks Ace Bailey with authori-tay, then a couple possessions later drills in the triple

#Nuggets

I want to see more from Trevon Brazile/Cam Whitmore.

But in practical terms, the #Nuggets need: Tyus Jones' playmaking as backup PG, Bagley to back up Jok, Spencer to hold the bench together. To me that leaves: Alpha as defensive disruptor & Strawther as Tim offense replacement.

A few nice Julian Strawther highlights from the #Nuggets' first preseason game

Alpha Diallo's defense in #Nuggets preseason G1.

Making a *strong* case he needs to be in the rotation.

Denver simply hasn't had this kind of (badly needed) defensive acumen/tenacity at the guard spot in so long (KCP probably the last guy who qualified). Gotta find him minutes.

Julian Strawther splits the defense to drive in for the floater

#Nuggets

Conjuring a pretty nice Jamal Murray impersonation, Julian Strawther drains the off-balance baseline jumper off the inbound pass

#Nuggets

Two deep 3-pointers from Cam Whitmore for the #Nuggets, sandwiched around an attack on the closeout that gets him to the line

Marvin Bagley gets a mouse in the house in Darryn Peterson, spins and slams home the dunk
