Aus dem ND-Artikel: Eine Aufhellung und 3-D-Modellierung der Videos hätte Aufschluss über die Positionen und Verantwortlichkeiten der einzelnen angeklagten Polizist*innen gebracht. Die Nebenklage hatte die Rechercheagentur Forensis beauftragt und deren Arbeit in die Verhandlung einführen wollen. Dort hätte man gesehen, dass Ibrahima Barry in »Hogtie« gefesselt war – der Begriff bezeichnet eigentlich die Fixierung eines Nutztiers und bedeutet, dass einem betroffenen Menschen in Bauchlage Hände und Füße gefesselt und zusätzlich über den Rücken zusammengebunden werden. Außerdem wäre sichtbar geworden, dass minutenlang Druck auf seine angewinkelten Füße ausgeübt wurde. Eine Polizistin kniete außerdem minutenlang auf dem Rücken des 23-Jährigen, ein Kollege beschwert dort mit dem Fuß. Auch wird Ibrahima Barrys Kopf, über den ihm eine Spuckhaube gezogen worden war, nach unten gehalten. Das Gericht lehnte die Arbeit von Forensis als Beweismittel für die Hauptverhandlung ab. Damit waren dort auch keine sekundengenauen Angaben zu den Einwirkungen der einzelnen Angeklagten auf Barry verfügbar. Weder Staatsanwaltschaft noch Verteidigung noch Gericht haben deshalb überhaupt Stellung zu dem Knie auf dem Rücken Barrys und anderen Aktionen der Beamt*innen genommen.
