Highlights from the 3rd #NMDay roundtable on workforce (1/3):
➡️ Desirée Deandreis shared the ambition of making #NucMed a career that children can one day aspire to
➡️ Gabriel Pavel called for harmonised workforce competencies across Europe, pointing to major discrepancies between countries.

Highlights from the 2nd #NMDay roundtable on Supply & Infrastructure (1/4):

➡️ Erich Kollegger: Europe’s radioisotope supply chain remains vulnerable, from complex cross-border transport rules and ageing reactors to limited capacity for novel radioisotopes.

Bringing the patient perspective to #NMDay, Erik Briers stressed that access goes beyond the availability of the product itself: it also requires treatment centres with licensed rooms and specialised, trained doctors

French Senator Khalifé Khalifé & MEP
Tomislav Sokol joined #NMDay online. Khalifé recalled the growing demand for #NucMed in Europe. Sokol called for a €10bn+ health budget in the next MFF, and discussed how the Biotech Act and MDR revision could strengthen Europe’s health landscape

EANM President Paola Anna Erba also mentioned that #NMDay is part of #EUScreeningWeek, further bringing #NucMed into the wider conversation around healthcare in Europe.

As stated by #EANM President Paola Anna Erba & #NMEU President Mart-Jan Blauwhoff: “This is a day where we come together around a common agenda. Same diagnosis, same medical needs, very different access. That is the gap we are talking about today.”
