And of course, there was a lot of #nature...! #Hobart #nipaluna #Tasmania #lutruwita #mountain #nature #walking #hiking #view #scenery #kunanyi #bird #flower #lichen #flora #tree #leaves #wildlife

The vegetation in Tasmania is full of texture, which makes bushwalking joyously varied; amongst these are some Tasmanian endemics. Plants pictured include two species of hakea, pimelea, celerytop pine, pepperberry, pineapple grass, speedwell bush, and one of the coral-ferns. A lone eyebright (Euphrasia collina) was in full flower already.A lichen of the genus Hypogymnia with large fruiting bodies colored gold contrasting with the silver of the main body of the lichen.A black currawong (Strepera fuliginosa), dismayed that I was not offering anything for lunch.

One of the many things I have always loved about living in Tassie is...the weather. (No sarcasm. True)

We actually get weather down here.
Shot from windy.com for later this spring week.
Almost 0 overnight into 20.
Love it.

#DailyGlimmer Groovy things to look at today while out 🐕walking in a suburb called Sandy Bay. #Nipaluna # Tasmania

Glorious street scape of white blossoms and purple wisteria and a palisade fence along the footpath
A 1960 groovy bar relief sculpture of ovals and geometric lines, reminiscent of avcross between Barbara Hepworth & Ben Nicholson. Lower Sandy Bay bathsRed weathered doors on an old building

There's no better way to spend a weekday than surrounded by nature! Recently, our team got to adventure together across multiple sites in the wider Hobart region.

A big thank you to Mark Wapstra (ECOtas) for his fantastic training session on identifying eucalypts!

#nipaluna / #Hobart looking very lovely in the sun on my 10K this morning. One day I'm going to get round to writing a proper play about the Flynns, father and son. #Tasmania #running #thylacine

As well as botanizing, I did look at some of the views on my travels around kunanyi! After Lost World last week, I had an easier day today, though, so here are two of my favorite #views. #mountain #Tasmania #Hobart #nipaluna #waterfall #tree #nature
