@mlctaskforce.bsky.socialHAP & Nate went to their local Alamo Drafthouse and watched Neil Breen's newest magnum opus, Dire Duplicity. It's a disjointed mess (as expected) and I'm afraid our review isn't very coherent either. #podcast #movies #neilbreen #eyesonbreen #direduplicity #moviereview

Please no one ever teach Mr Breen how to use AI.
This is probably one of the most entertaining of his movies but honestly when the novelty wears out, you're still such with the same issues as the rest.

This one felt intentionally insulting to the viewers in a way the others didn't. Maybe you have to be in a certain mood to fully enjoy these and I just wasn't tonight but this felt like a departure from the last peak.

@smustache.bsky.socialJust watched Dire Duplicity (2026) 📽
In a world of AI, outsider movies that aggressively keep such strong convictions to the art of cinema is truly inspiring. While this does look a lot better than his other works in terms of lighting, the story lacks.

@smustache.bsky.socialJust watched I Am Here... Now (2009) 📽
I'm obviously going to have to grade these curve, as they are not going to be"good" movies. That being said, this was particularly fun and had an easy to follow positive message that leads me to believe in woke Breen.
