Research rabbit hole this week: Malham Cove's limestone pavement was in a Harry Potter film, and peregrine falcons have nested on the cliff since 1993. Neither fact made the poem. Both nearly broke my schedule.

a Fox crossing the road,
tail held straight out,
head up and alert;
a lovely 4am surprise.
