Subspace with Namjoon is special. When Yoongi managed to find it on his own with the help of video aids, it was like floating submerged in the shallow end of a heated pool. He was touched all over by warmth, but he subconsciously knew not to drift toward the deep end. He had to stay close to the surface because there was no one to pull him out. The fear of drowning was ever present in the back of his mind. In the safe cradle of Namjoon's thighs, Yoongi sinks like a stone into a place vast as the ocean but not at all frightening in its enormity. He is the only thing in that heavy emptiness. It is his body alone suspended amid the all-encompassing pressure of water around him; no thoughts come with him here. It's dark, but soft sunbeams shine through to warm him. It's a golden shadowed place. He feels Namjoon like God peering down into the depths from his place high above. His face fills the whole sky, but Yoongi is small as a tadpole in this ocean made just for him. When he decides it's time, Namjoon-who-is-God will dip his big hands into the water. First his fingertips gently breach the surface. The water remains undisturbed. Yoongi is still suspended in the illuminated darkness, eyes closed as he soaks up that warmth. The length of Namjoon's fingers sink in, in, in, until his palms are submerged on either side of Yoongi. He'll bring them together until Yoongi is safe in his hold. And then he will slowly pull Yoongi out of the depths, to a consciousness made anew by the sweet relief of his submission.
