Did anyone else notice that Japanese BL actor Mokudai Kazuto (My Summer of You) makes a brief appearance in episode 9 of Popular Seizawa Acts Weird Around Me? It’s a fun reunion because he and Kosaku Koizumi are both in the pop group GNJB.
@theblxpress.bsky.social#MySummerofYou explores first love, heartbreak, and what it takes to hold onto love after having your heart broken. Read our Series Review for more 🤗❤

@pettydramawatcher.bsky.socialToday I’ve got final reviews for two very different shows, with the fell-in-love-in-high-school Japanese BL #MySummerofYou #君は夏のなか and Chinese historical-ish pig-butcher-meets-man-with-secrets #pursuitofjade #逐玉
Check out my amazing thoughts:

Très sympas cet série (j’ai pas lut le manga au cas où)
C’était léger et ça passait bien mais je dois avouer arriver vers la fin ça commençais à devenir un chouïa longuet 😂
Mais ça n’enlève rien à l’ambiance qu’avait le visionnage
@asiandramapanda.bsky.social#MySummerOfYou (12 episodes) (Gaga)
- Nice and soft; a bit slow at times, but mostly sweet
- Uses some common tropes
- Love the association of love and joy with a season
- Chiharu's habit of hiding important info annoyed me a bit.
8/10
@anaruebet.bsky.socialthis means i can finally read the manga!!! yayy #MySummerOfYou
@anaruebet.bsky.socialdespite the overuse of the miscommuication trope towards the end (which felt repetitive and frustrating), i enjoyed my time with #MySummerOfYou a lot :') the chemistry between the leads was so soft & sweet + the rural town/beach vibes were top tier! also found a new favorite character in wataru <33
@anaruebet.bsky.socialchiharu doesn't know just how lucky he is to have wataru loving him that much. personally, i would have made him grovel wayyyyy more for how much he made wataru suffer in silence 😭 #MySummerOfYou
@anaruebet.bsky.socialhmmmmmm, chiharu still has a lot to make up for to deserve wataru 😤 #MySummerOfYou
@anaruebet.bsky.socialthat's my baby 😭😭 #MySummerOfYou
@asiandramapanda.bsky.socialI'll be functioning at about 40% today. I'm tired and feel unwell.
All good though. I'm going to pause my apps so I can get some work done. I'll make it through.
Finale of #MySummerOfYou is today. Also, Happy #Nour Day to those who celebrate!
Happy Wednesday!!
@anaruebet.bsky.socialhappy #MySummerOfYou day !! 😭
