Mount Saint-Hilaire and the Richelieu River form an exceptional natural setting in the heart of the Montérégie region of Quebec. The Gault Nature Reserve at Mount Saint-Hilaire is a 1,000-hectare protected site owned by McGill University; it was Canada's very first UNESCO biosphere reserve. The mountain offers 25 km of trails leading to five summits—Pain de Sucre, Dieppe, Rocky, Burned Hill, and Sunrise—and encircles the magnificent Lac Hertel=).
