I can tell you right now that the LD membership would crawl over broken glass all the way to Mars to vote against another coalition agreement with the Tories. It is not happening, even more so as the Tories have utterly lost the plot.

You can make a case that antisocial #motornormativity feeds into the social media outcry from a small & impassioned group (& the associated online abuse of councillors) that results whenever any scheme is proposed involving #TrafficRestriction or removing of parking to make walking & cycling safer

This is a big thing - the reason adults cycle on the pavement is because the roads feel too dangerous.

Ultimately, the only solution to this is reallocation of carriageway space, or reducing the volume/speed of motor traffic, but these seem to be politically difficult due to #Motornormativity

Oh come on. This is morning rush hour in central Auckland, yet here we have a crane lorry blocking the bus lane and cycleway in Pitt Street.

This isn't an emergency situations. It's pretty rich to block the space-efficient transport modes as if they don't matter.

I highly agree. There really are too many transit advocates that also hate bike lanes, bike share, etc. #motornormativity is wild when it affects those who don't solely drive as transportation.

Also, this is like fighting over crumbs.
