THE BLACK BANNER The flag of a dead empire. RESTORE TO GLORY Anyone who carries the banner back to the capital of its old nation is rewarded with +1 to every stat. The banner takes up half of your carrying capacity. ENEMY OF THE STATES Anyone with any allegiance to another kingdom treats anyone carrying the banner as a threat. NATIONAL COVERUP If the flag is draped over and completely covers someone (alive or dead), they dissapear never to be seen again. If done to someone in combat, make a DR 14 Agility check to toss it over them.

Day 9: Flag Don’t speak to me about the Legion of Theos. They’re a bunch of savages and curs,I would know, I marched beneath their banner. They deserved their excommunication, if you ask me. Their “mercy and salvation” comes by axe and flame. I participated in the cutting down of innocent men and women. I watched whole towns burn for the “sins” of a child. That one still haunts my dreams. You know the other day I heard tell that the Legion is on the march again. Some traveller or another came through here, telling any who will listen that those beasts were flaying people alive. “Stringing them up in trees like fleshy flags,” he said. Day 7: Effigy The Solar Festival Every winter solstice, the Crimson Court celebrates the longest night of the year. For months prior, the glassblowers of the vampiric court set to work making an intricate, hollow model of the sun. On the night of the solstice, the interior of this solar body is filled with firewood and ignited. The assembled host of the undead dance, feast, and indulge in other pleasures beneath the faux sunlight. As a culmination of the evening’s reveries, the master of ceremonies lifts high the false sun and smashes it against the earth, shattering it and dispersing its light.
