Ducks in flight.

Ducks in flight.
I took so many photos of hardhead ducks the other day I had trouble choosing. I think these two are my favourites.
Havn't seen the maned duck ducklings for a few weeks but there are little yellow fuzzball pacific black duck ducklings in the lake. Also the swamp hen chicks have left their black fuzzball stage and entered their dinosaur era.
I swear I'm going to jump.
Lots of reflections this morning. I love walking around the lakes around daybreak . Although for a Queensland spring it was surprisingly bloody cold.

Reflections and pacific black ducks.
I don't know which I like better. I started out editing the closer image but I decided I like the wider one as well so I'm posting both of them.
The reflections came out well in both of them.
Strange Bedfellows.
Australian pied cormorant and Pacific black duck.
Black Swan (Cygnus atratus). This one's not yet a year old. Part of the clutch before the current group of cygnets.
A flock of gorgeous ducklings and their parents grazing.
Australasian swamphen
(Porphyrio melanotus)
Australasian Darter.
Jurassic ducklings.
Those baby ducks look like little dinosaurs. Rrraw quack. 🦖🦆
This model gave me a whole lot of attitude.
The maned ducks I ran into today had absolutely no fear of people. This guy, for instance, pretty much came right up to me.

There's cygnets in one of the local lakes I walk around often, and it looks like there will be in one of the others shortly.
Buff-banded Rail
I often use Merlin to double check myself but I had absolutely no idea what this little guy was when I took the photo.
Something pretty and purple for the feed.
Some spider web photos I took a while ago that I find really interesting.
