🐥 A moorhen and her tiny chicks!

Spotted along the Malaquis path near Amiens, this Common Moorhen wasn’t alone… Two tiny balls of black fluff were following her around. 🥰🌿

Can we call them water chicks? 😆💧

Moorhens flip the script. The females do the fighting over mates. The heaviest hens win the scraps then pair off with the smallest fattest males around. Chubby little chap wins the day.
