As far as Momo was concerned, Jirô had more extensive experience with skating on asphalt than ice. But the skills sure were transferable, since she was faring pretty well. Momo herself, on the other hand… she had been struggling a little.
But, hey, at least she had an excuse to hold her friend’s hand for balance.
“And here I thought you’d try to create something instead of asking me for help.” Was what Jirô hit her with after a while. And, despite registering those words as nothing more than light banter, Momo still thanked her flushed cheeks could be attributed to the cold at the ice rink instead.
“We’re not in class, right?” She chose to reply, shrugging as if it didn’t matter when it totally did. Had Jirô noticed why such a choice?
Funny to be thinking about that, though, when if that was the case, Jirô had simply gone along with it. So, if she knew (which Momo didn’t have proof of yet), her small ‘ruse’ (it couldn’t even be called such) was totally working anyway.
