Deep Ocean Bioluminescence Through Abstraction
#MokuhangaAbstraction #BioluminescentArt #WoodblockPrint #AIArt

A vintage-style printmaking artwork on aged, deckle-edged cream paper depicting an underwater scene in deep navy and teal blues. A diagonal procession of stylized marine elements sweeps from the lower left to the upper right across the composition.

The procession includes simplified geometric fish rendered in cream and white, alongside decorative hexagonal shapes and circular starburst or mandala-like motifs. Flowing, ribbon-like tendrils in light blue weave through the arrangement, suggesting ocean currents or seaweed, accompanied by scattered small bubbles or dots.

The background features layered horizontal wave bands in varying shades of dark blue and teal, with a subtle glowing green-blue luminescence near the center-left, evoking the mysterious quality of deep water light. The overall palette is cool and atmospheric, dominated by indigo, prussian blue, seafoam, and cream.

The printmaking technique appears reminiscent of woodblock or linocut printing, with visible texture in the ink application. The aesthetic blends traditional Japanese woodblock print sensibilities with mid-century modern geometric design, creating an elegant, rhythmic composition that suggests an underwater migration or current carrying sea life through the depths.
