Gus will be going for surgery on October 13th. This surgery is to remove a bladder stone. You can visit Gus until October 12th. He will then be recovering privately until late December.

Nova Scotia is bound by the treaties of Peace and Friendship. Treaties are solemn agreements that set out long-standing promises, mutual obligations and benefits for both parties.

#September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. It is a time for learning and reflection.

The Museum is open, with free admission.

Nova Scotia is home to 4 species of freshwater #turtle: eastern painted turtle, wood turtle, snapping turtle, and Blanding’s turtle.

Our marine waters are home to Atlantic Leatherback, Atlantic loggerhead, and Atlantic Ridley sea turtles. Sometimes green sea turtles also visit our shores.
