We also have Michaela, who's into costume making, and possibly hoping to become famous for it. She's developed new techniques and is working on making her costumes magical.

#ThroughTheCracks: Skylar lives alone in a standard single-person unit (apartment-sized residence) on Station 14 of the ALCEFS. They often have family over or go out to visit family.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: If we're considering sentient beings (and I guess we are now, since I've already opened this up to merfolk), I've been thinking Egypt might be the birthplace of canvas crossers, which would be closely tied to the history of art.

Since it's June now, let's get started on these questions! I have nothing much that could be described as angels or demons in any of my current works (they might exist in #MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP, but I have nothing developed), so let's go straight into Week 2.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Dave and Michaela have no idea of the cultural heritage, because their dad won't let their mom talk about her selkie past.

I suppose I have cited specific inspirations for my planned villain from #MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP, who has not been one of the main ones I've been talking about. But she was inspired by Flemeth from Dragon Age, Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs and Mother Gothel from Tangled.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Canvas crosser powers work according to light, in the sense that it's an optical illusion that makes them work. Turn off the lights, and their powers might just stop working. Skin-shifter powers might also work similarly.

Skylar: The ALCEFS doesn't have seasons. But I do love Thanksgiving with my family! That used to be associated with the fall back in the day, didn't it?

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Michaela's is absolutely Halloween! She's going to have the best costume!

They just need a little time.

#InReverse: Meg is needing to adjust to a whole new way of life. Everything is backwards. She doesn't know her way around. And she can't see a way back to life as it was.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Naomi was lost in an amusement park once, abandoned in a whole new city.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: If it's Hero, it's time to get out of there as soon as possible!

The crossover with Felix is also in third person, from Skylar's perspective.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP is in third person, and while I started out mostly in Dave's point of view, I've switched between several different characters' points of view, such as Michaela, Cynthia and Naomi.

Phaistos has long served as a centre of maritime trade in the sea between Akewa and Kumat (yes, the Mediterranean).

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Fishermen sometimes catch merfolk or selkies in their nets. They, at least big fishing corporations, often don't really face any serious consequences for it.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Dave and Michaela live in Moncton and have certainly been to the beach. Their father doesn't let their mom swim in the ocean (she's a selkie and used to spend pretty much her whole life in the ocean). I haven't decided how strict he is with the children.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Haaf has had a pretty tragic backstory, but it will get better, as soon as her children recover her seal skin and she gets a divorce.

Her children may not have been fully aware of how bad the situation was for her, but may not have completely escaped trauma from it either.

The subsurface oceans of Europa are home to some basic alien life. Worm-like critters and sessile coral-like lifeforms.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: The Atlantic ocean is home to selkies. The world's oceans will likely have other mythical creatures like merfolk, krakens and maybe even a world serpent.

Because the author learnt about ME/CFS and had the great idea to give it to a character, and he's the one that's been saddled with it.

#MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP: Give Haaf a hug. She's stuck in a bad marriage with a human who won't let her be herself or return to the sea.

#ThroughTheCracks: I could certainly see Madison receiving some punches.

And of course, our antagonists, Kye and Erron, are always on the board.

I have (sort of) for #MiwwduSitsomSelkieWIP. That is, there's a scene where Dave dreams that he's at the beach, building a sandcastle with his sister. Hero is stuck in his dreams at that point and they're trying to get him out.

Michaela: If my costumes are realistic, it's just because they're well-made.
