Last today, a watch I might buy: the #Makina Azazel_I GMT. This is so different: lots of texture and color. Modern styling. Miyota 9075 GMT disk is an interesting way to do dual time. Lots of lume and 200m resistance. $990 w/no duties in the US. Budget #Ming?

Imperial Dragon glazed ceramic medallion, found on a red wall of the Forbidden City, Beijing, China. Strictly a symbol of imperial ruler, it symbolizes wealth, power & the earth. Non imperials caught using the symbol were severely penalized.

Zhu Houcong was born #OnThisDay in 1507, ruling #China from 1521 to 1567 as the #Jiājìng #嘉靖 emperor; as a ruler, he was a distinctly mixed bag, but #Ming #porcelain reached a peak of perfection during his reign; this is a #dragon plate bearing his reign mark:
