Very unhappy about the gutting of the once-great #McClatchyNewsCorp, publisher of the #Bee papers in #CA, the #MiamiHerald + several other regional news cos nationwide in favor of a bizarre *AI* strategy underway by the HedgeFund owners. Thanks @status.news for staying on this important matter. 🥺👇🏾

#Politics #Trump

From #MiamiHerald via Archive.ph: #Florida Republican governor candidate Byron Donalds has removed all references to, and photos of him with, Trump from his campaign website. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Five days ago #McClatchyMedia fired 30 percent of reporters, including those at the #PulitzerPrize-winning #MiamiHerald. No reporters assigned to cover city hall or state legislature. #AI has replaced them. I wonder if AI can win a #PulitzerPrize.

Journalism is getting stripped for parts in some places. Massive layoffs were announced at newspapers across the country this week. Charlie gives his opinion.
