Even the Wind Is Afraid [Hasta el viento tiene miedo] (1968)

I have always wondered if (or how much) of an influence on del Toro's El espinazo del diablo (2001) this was. It also has scenes that seem to show up in Suspiria (1977).

Even the Wind is Afraid. 1968. Standout Mexican ghost story drenched in utterly chilling atmosphere and stunning visual style. A masterfully menacing gem.

Kick starting the '60s boom in Mexican horror beautifully, heavily influenced by Universal gothic yet keeping it's unique Latino identity. Fabulous. 1957.
