In the woodlands of late Triassic Tanzania, a resting Dinodontosaurus isiyavamanda is run over by two small dinosaurs (it couldn’t care less). Inspired by the very recent publication of this new African dicynodont, and the @skeletoncrewpaleo.bsky.social video about it! #sciart #paleoart #mesozoic

Its forelimbs are arched forward and outward on the ground, tipped with robust hands and five curved claws. Its head is raised, and its small dark eyes do not reveal the presence of even a single braincell. A tiny fluffy dinosaur is mid-stride as it runs atop the dicynodont’s rotund body, chasing after another tiny fluffy dinosaur just in front of it.

I've been wanting to draw a #Presbyornis #pervetus for a while now. It is #Mesozoic bird related to the waterfowl. The look was inspired by the Labrador duck, though that does not really show in the final product. I was inspired by the Egyptian goose and then the pink eared duck too.

A Rebelle illustration of a prehistoric bird known as Presbyornis pervetus. The animal has a long duck like beak, a long neck, and long legs with webbed feet. The wings, tail, and "ear" feathers are supposed to be iridescent but I don't think I did all that great of a job with that. The background is supposed to be transparent but I don't think Bluesky will allow that.
