where I discussed how Iran’s emissary traveled on camel from Jeddah to #Mekkah #Medinah to negotiate a surrender by the Hashemites of the Hijaz, to enable the establishment of the State of Saudi Arabia, the anniversary of which we mark this week.

French forces, after being asked by Saudi Intel Chief Turki AlFaisal, retook control of the Holy House #Mekkah after armed radicals stormed in on Nov 20 1979. France has now expressed alarm over instability in #SaudiArabia. It remains to be seen if it steps in to repel the Houthis if they march.
