@goemar.bsky.socialWe come to the end of the Mega-Man-athon.
And thus, the final rankings from worst to best.
@goemar.bsky.socialMega Man 11 completed.
The Wily stages... not brilliant? Normally they're the best stages in the game. The 1st one is good, the 2nd okay but the 3rd is just the boss gauntlet and the 4th is Wily. So, there's only really two of them.
Ridiculously easy final boss as well.
@goemar.bsky.socialIt's like that famous Sega saying goes;
To be this good takes Mega*
(ignore that last hit I take...)
@goemar.bsky.socialAmazing story telling in this game.
No one can find Wily until he literally calls and tells you his exact co-ordinates and the name of the place he is - his Gear Fortress.
Apparently Mega is so on it, he doesn't need the co-rds, the name alone is enough.
@goemar.bsky.socialAlright. 10 Mega Man games down - one to go.
It's MM11 time!
No major changes in the rankings. I still think MM9 is the best MM game (so far) but 10 was a lot better than I remember it being, knocking 2 down a bit but it just isn't as fun as MM4.
@goemar.bsky.socialWe're back doing the Mega-Man-a-thon!
Man has never felt so good to just lie in bed, slap a pizza in the oven and then get on down to Wily's Castle.
@goemar.bsky.socialOkay, so I'm really liking MM10.
No, I do not know how I am not burnt out on Mega Man yet - I'm having a great time.
But well, 'tis 3am so it'll have to wait until after work tomorrow/later today.
@goemar.bsky.socialOh boy, that was a tad tough.
Like man, those Wily stages - they ain't messing around.
Still a great game and, so far - yes, in my opinion Mega Man 9 is still the best MM game.
Onto 10! Which: I remember really not liking!
@goemar.bsky.socialA few deaths via spikes on the way, but otherwise has been smooth sailing on the way to Wily's castle.
I still very much enjoy MM9...
BUT!
The game is hard. Which isn't a bad thing as it's pretty fair but compared to like every other Mega Man game, it's tough.
@goemar.bsky.socialThis obviously means we're onto MM9.
Which, according to past me, is the best Mega Man game. Ever.
There have been a lot of upsets in the rankings so far, so who knows if that'll still hold true.
